Screen Resolution 8.04 KDE 4 Beta

I downloaded 8.04 KDE4 Beta but after installation the only options in System Settings -> Display for screen resolution are 800x600 and 640 x480. How do I fix this?

Start by posting your graphics chip.

If you're not sure about it, open the Konsole and enter
    Code:

OK. Well, the 7950 is famous for difficulty with Linux drivers, so :P

Probably your best shot is to download the Envy script installer from here:

        http://albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html

You want the download on the lower RIGHT of his OS table, since you have installed Hardy Heron. When it is downloaded, right-click the file and install it. It will put an icon in your KMenu>System folder. You can click that icon to start it, or in a Konsole enter
        Code:
        sudo envy -t
to run it in text mode. It will (hopefully) install the Nvidia proprietary driver. Follow the on-screen prompts.
