Lenovo T61 not able to output video to projector

Hi, I posted this question in the Ubuntu Forums but havent got an answer yet. I got a lenovo t61 with the Intel 965 chipset for video and I have installed Kubuntu 8.04 but I dont get the "Display" module to load in "System Settings". I also dont manage to send video to the projector connected to the laptop. I need to use the projector everyday. I have tried Fedora 8, Opensuse 10.3 to see if in those distros I could manage, but no success. I did try Kubuntu 7.04 and 7.10 and the same problem.
Does anybody know of how to fix this in the Lenovo T61?
I got this PC at work and do not want to switch back to Windows (Kubuntu user for 1 year now)
