Hardy restricted drivers ( using 64 bit ) ?

I have a Laptop and it uses nvidia restricted driver via the restricted driver manager. I gave Alpha 5 a go from a live CD and the graphics were kinda slow and unresponsive ( moving windows looks choppy and the extra effects would not work ).
Is it just that its an Alpha 5 or am i screwed with KDE 4, is there a way to get the nvidia driver on a Live session?
Also one other thing, in the extra effects on the desktop it gives the zoom option as "meta+0" what does the meta bit mean?

I am mixed up.
Are you running a HH alpha5 live cd?
The kde4 alpha live cd?

Also could you give some specs on your machine?

You know MB, possessor, RAM, video card, etc.

It is a lot easier to help when we know what we are dealing with

Sorry about the lack of details, im used to my signature from the ubuntu forums.
Yes i am running the Alpha 5 cd with KDE 4 for Hardy (amd 64 )

My system specs are
Using a HP Pavilion dv 2000 Laptop ,2GB ram,Intel Core2Duo,Intel Pro wireless with bluetooth, with 128md shard nivida gfx ( 32 dedicated ).

Okay, now we are getting closer.
I am no expert on 64bit systems but a lot of people here are.

Could you change your title to reflect 64bit and kde4 alpha live cd?

I am sure you will attract the right people that way
