    Ple-e-e-e-ase!!!! SanDisk Memory stick support

    Hello guys!!!
I NEED support for memory stick duo! I have HP dv6000 laptop with ricoh card reader, it works, but not with memory stick duo. I'm not a programmer, and I don't know what to do.
Is there a possibility to make it less painfull?

Thank you for your great job!!! Kubuntu is BEST!

After searching Google for a while, I've decided that there isn't yet a working Ricoh driver for MS-Duo cards; I have the same problem with the TI card reader on my laptop. If you use the card with a digital camera, you should be able to connect the camera to your laptop, and read/modify its contents from there.

I am a sick men, I love zx spectrum. But normal people don't understand that - they have a hole in a computer, and it must be plugged (and working)

I feel ya'; most PC hardware works fine in Kubuntu, just in the case of our card readers, the manufacturers will neither create a linux driver for their hardware, nor release the code so somebody else can. The only way we (Linux users) can get drivers for such hardware is to develop our own - almost completely in the dark - by reverse engineering the product. Thus, it sometimes takes a little while to get working hardware :P

You may want to try an external USB card reader (which should work); if you can't find one at a store in your area, you can pick one up for a cheap price all day long on eBay.
