    How to disable CD autoplay?

    Hello

Does anyone know how to disable CD autoplay?

When I put a disc in the drive, I want it to be mounted and appear on my desktop as normal. But I don't want the dialog to popup asking me what I want to do with the media.

The main reason for this is because it makes k3b fail every time I choose to verify written media after burning. It just hangs leaving me no option but to send it the kill signal. It's not a feature I like either (I disable it in Windows too).

I've already tried going to kcontrol -> Peripherals -> Storage Media -> Advanced and deselecting enable medium autostart application after mount, but that didn't seem to do anything. Other solutions I've seen refer to disabling lvman or ivman or something, but they were for older versions of *buntu.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks

Figured it out. Just a PEBKAC error on my part :P

In case anyone else is wondering how, go to K Menu->System Settings->Notifications->Storage Media Notifications.

Then for each medium type in the combo box that you don't want to autoplay, select it, click on Do Nothing, and click Toggle as Auto Action. Then press Apply when you're done.
