Re: URGENT help with keyboard
does this happen from inside kde only
or do you see the same behaviour
from a text console, too?
to check the latter:
a) hit ctrl-alt-f1
b) login with username and password
c) enter some text on the command line (see how slow/fast it is)
d) hit ctrl-c
e) type "exit", then hit return, to log out
f) hit ctrl-alt-f7, to get back into your kde session
if it's only kde, that gives you troubles,
then check the "accessibility" settings:
kmenu -> system settings -> accessibility -> accessibility -> keyboard filters
see if the "use slow keys" option got enabled for some reason...

Re: URGENT help with keyboard
ahhhhhhhhh...... much better....lol that was driving me insane! I knew it had to be something simple like that. Yes, I knew it was in the KDE, but I couldn't figure out what was causing it. A window had popped up at 1 point, similar to the one that pops up in windows when you sit on a shift key, and I hit okay by mistake. that did me in. i never bothered reading the window though, as I hit ok by accident!
Thanks!!!!!
