    Menus are too big

I just installed Gusty Gibson on a custom built media center pc. The case is made by Ahanix and has a built-in 7" touch screen montior, Intel D843EBG mobo, Intel P4 Northwood CPU, some generic video card called Topsearch (supposedly made by ATI)connected via VGA cable to the 7" touchscreen, 1GB RAM and a 40GB hard drive. I would like to install LinuxMCE on this PC but is quit difficult because all the windows, menus, text, and so on do not fit on the 7" touchscreen; they are all way too big. I have to grab the page (alt + left click) to move the windows around. I have the screen resolution set to the maximum and it only helps slightly. I've tried zooming out, but I can't seem to zoom out enough. I am new to Linux, but so far I love it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also, the OS seems to run extremely slow on this PC. It runs much faster on my Dell Laptop off of the live CD.

I replaced that generic video card with one from nVidia and all is well now.
