    flash player for firefox

    hey i am running running Firefox currently and I've tried to get flash working a number of ways I've tried to install flashplugin-nonfree and that didn't work so then i tried libflash-mozplugin and that didn't work either can anyone help me out please

    in a browser tab, type aboutlugins into the address bar and post back please.

          You might as well install gnash, while you're at it.

          I agree with JamesM -- you said you "tried flashplugin-nonfree but it didn't work", but your plugins show it was not installed. So install that one first, then if you can't play flash, install gnash and try again.

            i installed gnash and is working slightly it is very unstable

                yea I've installed gnash and flash plugin non-free it doesn't come up with the sign saying i need to install flash just youtube doesn't load

                  OK, let's find where it's gone...

                  What does "locate libflashplayer.so" give you?

                  You should find one in /home/username/plugins... if not try copying it there. (At least, that's how things work on my system...)

                  ...here's another thought: are you running 32-bit or 64-bit Linux?

                    ok in adept it says flashplugin non-free was installed when i put that locate thing in it doesn't come up with anything and i am running 64 bit Linux
