    update kdevelop

    Hi,

I installed KDevelop version 3.5.0 and i would like to update to 3.5.1 - i downloaded the source and ./configure tells me following:

checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X libraries. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!

even tho i have the x headers installed and my path says:

    reg@NovaxPRG-T1111:~/Desktop/downloads/kdevelop-3.5.1$ echo $PATH
    /usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games

not sure what i can do. Thanks for help!

Kubuntu (8.04) Hardy Heron has Package: kdevelop (4:3.5.1-0ubuntu2). If you don't want to upgrade your Kubuntu: DIY Backport. It is a bit easier way to install from the source and the sources are already tested with the Debian and Kubuntu (patches).

The Kubuntu (8.04) Hardy Heron is at the moment beta. Beta warning:
This is an Beta (pre-) release. Pre-release versions of Hardy are NOT encouraged for anyone needing a stable system or for anyone who is not comfortable running into occasional, even frequent, breakage. Pre-release versions of Hardy ARE recommended for Kubuntu developers and those who want to help in testing, reporting, and fixing bugs.

    Before you edit, BACKUP !
