System freeze after burn dvd with k3b

Hello,

I have a big problem, when I burn a DVD with k3b, it finished well no problem, but then the system freeze. have to push the reset button.

Can anyone help?

Hi there,

before we go in too deep- was this a one time issue or does it happen EVERY time you burn a DVD with k3b? I recently did the same and had no freezing problems..also, does your computer freeze when you are running other programs/applications?
It might be useful if you posted some information about your computer ( RAM, etc.).

One more thing: next time you burn a dvd with k3b,open the console and type "top" without quote-marks.
It's a nice way of knowing which program caused the freeze.

Hello,

This happens every time I burn a DVD. It ends fine since I tested it later. Then, it does not eject the DVD ("don't eject the CD/DVD after burn process" is off). The hard disk led turns on and the system freezes.Here is another one, in k3b config -> devices it shows my DVD burner, but when I click the update button, the same thing happens. It's fine when I burn through command line with growisofs.

And no, the computer does not freeze while others programs are running.

OK, i burn again a DVD and no problem! don't freeze. I really don't understand why. "don't eject the CD/DVD after burn process" is off.
