Hello all. Please forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere - I've been googling for 2 hours now and have had no luck in finding an answer.
I have 5 new linux machines running fresh installs of Kubuntu 7.10. They grabbed network addresses through DHCP and can connect to the internet.
But they can't resolve anything in my Intranet. I have two servers running Windows 2003 DNS as my 1st and 2nd machines. The resolv.conf file shows the addresses correctly. But any lookups to a host on my intranet fails.
Pinging an internal host by name shows that the DNS lookup isn't succeeding. I can make things work if I add the relevant names to the hosts file, but this seems silly. I should be able to use DNS for this. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you for your time.
