    automatic time/date setting

When choosing in KDE control or clock in taskbar vfor automatic time/date setting I can choose of 5 pool.ntp.org sites but these are not accessible. I understand that you can or must use ntp.ubuntu.com but where can this site be added to the others?

You should be able to go to System Settings --> Date and Time. Click on the Administrator Mode button. In the top right is a box where you define the NTP server. Type it in and click close. It will ask to discard or apply changes. Click Apply. Make sure that Set Date and Time Automatically is set on as well before closing/applying. I haven't had issues yet.

      Moonrise,
All done, but by apply I get : Unable to contact timeserver on all servers I enter.
Automatically the settings than jump back to manual.

see if you can ping those. It could be a network setting/routing issue. Are you behind a firewall?

          Re: automatic time/date setting

          ping all ok.
          no firewall.
          all http/pop/smtp works fine.
          checked kde configration module again.
It's now set to ntp.ubuntu.com and seems to work.
The moment, however, you change the server and choose apply I got again this error message.
Thanks anyway for the quick response.

just make sure the ubuntu one is showing. Those others may have problems.
