I have an utterly annoying problem. When I open ksysguard it says that the connection to localhost was lost (over and over again). Recently I've been setting up a home network with samba and also tried zeroconf and so on, and this was when this started happening. Any ideas?

Re: localhost lost!?
Hmmm... that seems in order there. What is the ip of the machine? I think zeroconf can mess with your IP. I don't use it, but I had accidentally installed it once on a server and it would randomly end up with a 169.254.x.x IP, which didn't work on my network.Dell Optiplex 580<br />Kubuntu 10.10 + backports
