I want to Watch Lost on LINUX on ABC... how?

Is it possible to watch lost on ABC website. Is there a pluggin or browser that can watch lost. I know it is ABC fault for not providing the programming on their website. I just installed KUBUNTU and I would like to be able to see lost with out having do bittorrent any show illegally.

Usually, I watch the Bionic woman on NBC with no problem. I do know that NBC is working in a Firefox plug in that will allow Linux users to download episodes. I use flash for this and it works fine.

NBC and CBS no problem, ABC and Fox are not compatible, I've even tried it w/ IE4Linux and no go. LMK if you find a work around, maybe in a xp vmw?

I just sent ABC a comment asking them when they are going to get into the 21 century and start supporting Linux... Awaiting their reply :-D

I didn't get anything yet other than the typical "We received your e-mail request and are processing it at this time..." bla bla bla...

If I do get something later, I will post it for sure...

I watch Lost using Windows in VmWare.

Thought I saw a post somewhere that said if you install Firefox in Wine you can watch ABC shows but haven't tried that method.

I hear ya, I do have windows xp installed using virtualbox and I can watch those shows, but it would still be nice to be able to use Linux to do it.

I finally got around to trying this in wine. Works like a charm.

Firefox installs in wine no problem
                        Flash installs easily
ABC viewer installs with no problem

Video quality is even better than when I'm running in a VM.

Still doesn't address the issue of why a proprietary operating system is required when pretty much all other video sites work in linux, but at least you can get this going in wine and you don't need a vm.

Where is the "Lost" video on ABC? I just tried the ABC News web site, and their videos play just fine here. This is Firefox 3 Beta 4, with flashplugin-nonfree and gnash and mozilla-plugin-gnash and mozilla-plugin-vlc and the vlc media player. I'm not sure which package is enabling the audio/video, but it looks and sounds great.

                            Mystery solved .....

This is the same "Move Media Player" that was a problem on the BYU site the other day. It's not for Linux users.

Have you tried by switching the Konqueror 'identity' to IE Version 6.0 on Windows XP?
