    kde4 upgrade broke my system

Hi all, I have been using Kubuntu as my main OS for over a year now, I wanted kde4 so I installed it along side kde3 on my Gutsy Gibbon amd 64 laptop, all was well untill I did an upgrade and installed the new kde4 packages that contained the kdm. I got a prompt asking wether to quit the kdm then make the changes or to commit the changes on next log in. I said wait, then when I rebooted the kdm was missing, I have reinstalled the kdm and done the update/upgrade, but now I do not have kde4 in the login menu and I do not seem to have deamons running or software missing as I cannot access my file manager, dolphin opens but cannot read any filesystem or konqueror. I am going to reinstall konqueror.

Is there a way to reinstall any kde related software that got uninstalled but is not reinstalled on upgrade.

I hope this makes sense, It just hit me writting this that reinstalling konqueror might fix my problems
