    Konqueror KDE4 search bar

Ever since I upgraded to KDE 4 I haven't had any search box in the upper right of Konqueror KDE 4. I've searched for answers and have found nothing. I assumed it wasn't implemented yet, but then I saw some screen shots with the search enabled. Can anyone tell me how to get that, back?

    Thanks

The developers chose not to include it. But you can still configure Konqueror to use the location bar for searches.

Settings | Configure Konqueror | Web Shortcuts

Ensure that Enable Web shortcuts is checked. Check the search engines you want to use. Select the Default search engine from the drop down list. Select the Keyword delimiter you want to use from the drop down list. That's it. Just type the shortcut for the search engine you want to use followed by the keyword delimiter you set and the word/phase you want to search for in the location bar. I have Google set as my Default search engine, so a search typed in the location bar looks like this:

      gg:konqueror configure web shortcuts

This works in Konqueror in KDE 3 and KDE 4.
