KLauncher could not be reached via D-Bus, error when calling start_service_by_desktop_path: empty

How do I fix this?

If I don't click OK on the Sorry - The KDE Sessio dialog I can use everything just fine and everything works, but if I click OK it kicks me back out to KDM, so how do I reset my session? Or otherwise keep this message from popping up?

I have this problem too on KDE 4 Remix of Kubuntu 8.04. How can I get rid of this message? Thank you in advance.

A fix seems to be:

Simply open up System Settings, hit the Advanced tab and select File Associations. Find "plain" under "text", highlight Kate and hit edit. In the Application tab, change the %U to %u in the command field, and it should work =)


However, this did not fix it for me. The bug is filed at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...e4/+bug/204728 . Hopefully, someone will fix this problem.
