I have ver 7.10 on a HP Pavilion dv8000. I noticed after fiesty at boot my PC take allot longer to start up Linux. I bought couple of books on linux and I learned I can turn off some run-level scripts. I already turned some off. Is there a list anywhere starting what each service does so I can decide to leave it on or off so I can gain some more performance.
