    Problems with tonights update

    Hi

    My update tonight seems to want to remove most of 41 packages including kde-core, kde-base, kdm, kdesktop and various multimedia packages. Am i missing something here?

    Quick answer?
    No, just don't do it.

      No updates for me on this machine? I assume you have kde4 installed along with kde3. I noticed it with my machine the other day that has both.

        Yes I have both GG and HH with kde3/kde4 I am not updating/grading GG today

          On some of the items that didn't seem like they should be removed, I switched them to "Upgrade" in adept and they upgraded just fine rather than being removed. "libplasma1" was one such package. I'm not sure that's the best solution or if it works in all cases, but it worked for me.
