Is Apparmor Installed By Default In Kubuntu and, if so, how do I interface with it? Is this a firewall?

    Thanks,

Installed by default, yes. The documentation isn't. You can install the documentation via Adept Manager (apparmor-docs) or via the command line:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install apparmor-docs

      AppArmor

AppArmor is a Linux Security Module implementation of name-based access controls. AppArmor confines individual programs to a set of listed files and posix 1003.1e draft capabilities.
AppArmor was first made available to Ubuntu in Ubuntu 7.04 in Universe.
