Common ones are Quanta+, Bluefish, KompoZer, Screem, NVU, and Amaya
Have a look at KompoZer first.

Thank u friends . ya i need to try kompozer. But i just wanted to know :- Is nvu the best opensource software(amongst others) available to create webpages ??
NVU hasn't been updated for a long time, and the last time I used it I thought it was really rough around the edges. I haven't tried kompozer since I don't do the wysiwig thing. Quanta+ is the best program for linux I've found for web design, but I'm not sure how strong the wysiwig component is.
