    kernel 2.6.17?

    Hi to all

Which packages must install from kubuntu 6.10 to have kernel 2.6.17 on my gutsy?

I tried to compiled from source but not enough space on my disk (2.5GB free space)

6.10? Do you mean 7.10? That one is Gutsy Gibbon. There was a 6.10 -- Edgy Eft. I don't think you want packages out of 6.10 to put in 7.10.

The Linux kernels are listed in the repositories. In 7.10, open Adept Manager and go to the linux-kernels in the list of packages. Be mindful of your architecture (32-bit or 64-bit).

In 7.10 Adept manager I only have kernel 2.6.22, but my touchpad is not recognised with this kernel.

Last kernel that recognise it is 2.6.18

So I want to install 2.6.17 from Edgy Eft, cause I do not have enough space to compile it myself.

Touchpad? Are you running a laptop? My touchpad and mouse both work in Gutsy and Feisty.
