What security programs do you like?

    Hi

What security programs do you like in Kubuntu and Ubuntu?

I want to harden my system and would welcome your comments.

Hi, installed Bastille but can not find it in KDE menus so where did it go? How do I run it?

You don't run it within X. Boot up to a recovery console and type bastille at the prompt if I remember correctly.

Curently playing with firestarter. It took me more than 2 weeks to figure out it was blocking my torrent ports.

They do what you tell them to do or tell them not to do.

secure-delete. This allows you to delete a file and have it really deleted.

                Code:
                sudo apt-get install secure-delete
When a file is deleted normally, by either 'rm' or deleting using the file manager, the file is not really deleted. The address has been revoked and it can no longer send/receive mail. [in other words it is no longer recognized by the file system, but the data remains]. Some kind person has just posted a service menu for konqueror that allows for easier use of 'srm' or secure delete. http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show...?content=75734. I put it in both konqueror and dolphin:

                konq: ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/servicemenus/

                dolphin: /usr/share/apps/d3lphin/servicemenus/
