    save location by file type?

    Hi everyone

I was wondering if there is a way to save downloaded files into pre-set folders based on their file type.

For example, if I save a torrent have it's type recognized and saved to a "torrents" folder, and if I save a jpg from online have it automatically go to my "pics" folder, and so on.

If anyone happens to know a configuration setting or utility to do this, I would like to know about it, please.

You are using what ? (Konqueror/Firefox/Something)
Are you using download manager (Aria, KGet, d4x...) ?

KGet (download manager for KDE) has downloading into designated folders...

Konqueror + KGet (Integration with the Konqueror web browser)
    Firefox + FlashGot + KGet

Why there are dead links ?

I don't know if this is what you mean but there is the download sort extension for FF:
      https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/25
HP Pavilion dv6 core i7 (Main)
      4 GB Ram
      Kubuntu 18.10
