KDE 3.5.9 Very Weird!!!-(Solved)-->Blonde Moment

I just updated 2 minutes ago and i restarted X and this is what i got.

I dont think the desktop is supposed to be like that, right?


l0l dont worry guys, turns out a few packages were held back in the upgrade. I forced them to install and the desktop went back to normal.

I don;t know what b0uncyfr0 did, but usually when something hangs during an update, I have found running the following in konsole helps.

sudo dpkg --configure -a

I have no held packages and, anyway, I run

sudo dpkg --configure -a

and I still have the same problem.

Probably we need to update or change some config file to tell which is the Desktop folder.

Help... pleaaaaaaaase!

Solved. My mistake. The problem occured only because I was using NX client for remote connection from the office. When back home I logged in KDE and everything was normal.

Damn now i feel bad for closing the thread. Hope you guys got it sorted out. Mine was quite simple actually, just force some packages that were held back.

Bet you freaked when you got all those icons on your desktop...
