Auto start programs at startup

I have two screens set up. On my second screen, it's displayed on my TV and I want MythTV to autostart on boot.

Also, how can I start mythbackend on start up so that when I start the frontend viewer, it can connect to the backend?

Put your application in ~/.kde/Autostart

Yes, if you reposition MythTV on secondary screen, your session will save its last position.
The next time you startup, MythTV will show on your secondary screen.
