Pidgin Instant Messenger (SOLVED)

Hi Everyone

I play on a few yahoo leagues and get links on Pidgin Instand Messenger,when I click a link,I get this message:

Unable to open URL

The 'Manual' browser command has been chosen,but no command has been set.

How do I set a command?

I used to have that problem too, but never fixed it. I originally thought it was something to do with "default applications" but that doesn't seem likely. It might be handled by Pidgin itself. Have you looked through Pidgins settings?

In Pidgin, go to Tools > Preferences.

Click on the Browser tab.

Choose a browser in the dropdown menu. Then you can choose to open link in new tab, new window, or use the browser's default behavior.

The setting the command bit just means if you want to use a browser not in the list you can type the command to run (eg. firefox) in the text field. This is only applicable if you have browser preference set to "manual".
