    Yes indeed I'm not very familiar with Gentoo, so I don't know if it has kdesu installed; if not, try replacing kdesudo with gksu, and if that doesn't work, just use "sudo [name of text editor] /mnt/sda1/boot/grub/menu.lst" (or 'su', however it's set up).

      I didn't see the second page any ways, I physically removed the agp and w/ onboard I got to the live dvd. I'm going to reboot and check the text install.

      Thanks for your help, I'll get back to you in a bit and let you know.

      edit: new install on the proper os hdd, mayber I won't break adept this time. Now if I can figure out how to get the agp recognized when I reinstall it. It was automatic the last time, I guess I'll just put it back in and reooot :fingerscrossed:
