Dibl, after all the help that you gave me regarding my display problems recently in HH, I am now up and running in GG, so couldn't post in HH so hope you see this! Well I decided to do a little bit of detective work regarding the recent new drivers, as my nvidia graphics card seems to have been really acting up (since just before xmas I think) so went onto the nvidia site, and found out that the latest driver for my card was theX86-169.09 which it stated fixed a lot of probs that I had been experiencing, such as the fan in my comp going beserk, etc. Unfortunetely, my Envy available in L Mint didn't have this latest one, so I re-installed Gutsy, then re- some of your instructions, I downloaded and installed Envy! Then went into manual install and whoopee! there was the very driver I needed!

Let Envy install it and now I am good to go, and all probs seem to be solved! Have also got KDE4 up and running okay (so far fingers crossed!) and even konqueror isn't crashing. I am dead chuffed dibl, and coudn't have done this without your 'how to' guide so thanks! I just wish that they would enable the Display and Monitor settings in HH then I can rejoin all of you guys living on the edge again, but I will be patient and wait till April.

Yes let's hope so eh! I just can't understand why the monitor and display settings are always removed during Alpha's and Beta's? I know it never works or seems to do anything for you dibl, but if you have an LCD monitor, it is invaluable and now that I have managed in GG (which of course allowed me to set up my LCD as usual in the Monitor and Display settings, it just shows how it is needed.
It relegates people like myself to be unable to test and is a shame. I shall take note when it is re-instated if any work has been done to it or if it has been upgraded in any way.

Don't they realise Dibl, if we can't set our dispays up then we can't participate?

TG (glad you read my post) I am now busy trying to see if I can remove all the KDE3 versions of apps in KDE4 and just use the KDE4 versions. Gulp) Trouble is everything looks so crowded in the menu's with both versions there.
