kubuntu shutdown very slow

shutting down kubuntu is taking a lot of time.. my system boot is faster than shutdown..
it takes 30 secs to stop kdm after i click on shutdown

Mine does it too, but I only really noticed it after I installed the new Nvidia drivers using envy, for my EN8500GT video card. I keep mine ion most of the time so it doesn't bother me much.
