    kdesu segmentation fault (core dumped)

    Odd issue with kdesu

    $kdesu krusader, adept_manager, whatever program
    segmentation fault (core dumped)
    $

However, I can "sudo" the command and the program executes.

I know this error tends to be from a memory issue, but running memtest overnight showed no errors.

I did copy my partition to another device and had to set up a new swap. I assigned the new uuid to the swap in fstab, and it is activating on boot; the error started occurring around this time. The machine is the same / the drive has changed. fsck using a live distro shows no disk error.

Re: kdesu segmentation fault (core dumped)

I thought segmentation fault errors indicated a bug in the program you are running; then, perhaps, it is dumped to memory. (core dump).
Nothing wrong with your physical RAM or your machine.
