Firefox Mailto with Kmail problem

On occasion, I encounter mailto: links that don't work with Kmail. A specific example is here:

At the bottom of the article, there's an "Email this article" link. But when I click it in Firefox, it says it will launch my external mail application. Which it then does and a new composer window from Kmail opens. But it doesn't contain the link to the article, or a subject line or anything.

If I use Konqueror, it works correctly. Any ideas about why Firefox doesn't?

I had a similar problem, i can't remember precisely how i cured it, but it involved hacking adding a simple entry to about:config.

I don't think those answers solve this situation. My mailto seems to work in Firefox, in the sense that it picks up the addressee correctly and launches Kmail. But in the case of the link above, in which the email should automatically pick up the title of the article and its URL, that doesn't happen.
