    User Management Module Broken

As I try to fix my scanner issues, and my wireless woes continue, a new problem arose.

When I try to go to System Settings > User Management, I get messages that the console "could not be loaded." Even when I sign in as the administrator, it doesn't work.

    There is this message:

    "The diagnostics is:

    Possible reasons:
    • An error occurred during your last KDE upgrade leaving an orphaned control module
    • You have old third party modules lying around

Check these points carefully and try to remove the module in the error message. If this fails, consider contacting your distributor or packager."

This is very weird. Is there a way to fix this?

    Matt

I just got this as well on my eee pc and now can't run virtual box since it upgraded because I have to add myself to "vboxusers" but can't do that now:-(

That bug is for disk and filesystems... that module opens fine.

      I did

      apt-get install kuser

which is an independent program to manage users. It isn't as intuitive but it is a workaround for us.
