Hi,
I'm using Kubuntu 7.10 and I wanted to try XFCE.
So, I ran adept, installed xubuntu-desktop package.
First, it appears that it's not a package, but a sort of pointer to other packages.
Fine, But I had some trouble to remove xfce.
Solution : Use aptitude instead
Now my problem :
I'd like to have 1 account for using xfce, but NOT with all the app I installed previously with KDE.
So I thought i'd create an new account for this, and install xfce. Unfortunately, the new account had all the previously installed apps via my kde, and if i install xfce, it will have them too.
What i'd like is to be able to have a "new fresh" xfce desktop. Like if I had installed from a CD.
Is this possible without vm or another dual boot ?
Sorry if it appears as a newbie question and thx
