Hi.
I've started using Firestarter (somewhat out of interest I must admit) and I've found it interferes with Amarok when it attempts to access Shoutcast or Cool streams etc. I have played around with various Policy rules and read what I can find on-line about Firestarter operation but the problem persists.
Now I know many of you will say don't bother with a Firewall but according to what I have read (Beginning Ubuntu Linux) a firewall runs on (K)Ubuntu by default anyway and Firestarter is just a way to control the iptables (for morons like me!).
Any ideas on what services should be allowed rather than using a global approach?
70's rock is great - the Yanks have some fab stations! (Yeah and I get my bus pass next year!!)
Thanks Kubuntists.
