KDE4 won't let me log in as root

Just installed the KDE4 Kubuntu 7.10 live CD remaster...
For some reason, I can't run anything as root..
When I input the password I submitted for my actual login, it says password incorrect...
I'm not sure I was prompted to enter in a root password...
So how do I run things like KDE settings manager and such?
The buttons stay "grayed" out, and there is no way to run the program as root...
    hmmmm thanks

Yes, it is a known bug :P You have to run programs using "kdesudo".
