I took the plunge and installed KDE4. Vast different from the LiveCD. I actually was more pleased, however, I noticed right of that my "trash.desktop" on the Desktop always shows a "Full" trash bin. Has the functionality of the ".desktop" files been changed? What would cause this?
I can say that things do actually run faster. Even the loading splash plugin for Thunderbird actually "works" in that the loading bar actually is animated unlike under 3.5.8. That was surprising. Thought it was the plugin.
Still don't really like the menu. Using "Traditional". I'm sure that will evolve, so I wont totally dis it. It deserves a chance. This is quite nice guys. I'll test it. I'll report bugs. This is way better than anything I've tried, and I've tried many Desktop Managers.
