Kopete and KControl Questions

Figured I'd combine the two questions I have, even though they're not related.

1. Kopete - Is there a way to send a file in the AIM protocol? Or am I going to have to snag Pidgin?

2. KControl - Is there a K Menu item for this? I looked, but didn't see one. I can add one, just wanted to make sure before I did.

1. I don't know for sure (I'm barely competent to use Kopete for IM), but I haven't seen any facility for sending files, only for sending the video feed.

2. No, Kcontrol does not appear in the KMenu. But it's present -- just press Alt-F2 and enter "kcontrol" with no quote marks and you've got it.

Is there something similar to kopete that works with file sending on AIM? I mean, that's more 'integrated' with KDE than Pidgin.

Also, I found a 'Send File' menu item...but it's greyed out. Ah well.

Thanks for the Kcontrol info, too. I'll have to get that added!

I'm playing with Kopete, and I opened the "Configure Toolbars" menu. In the left window is a "Send File" paperclip icon, so I sent it to "Current Actions" window. I dunno how it works, but apparently is IS possible to send a file.
