kde4 Firefox - GTK apps are ugly

Hi All. I've been unable in the past cpl of months I've been playing with KDE4, to find a setting somewhere to make GTK apps look nice under KDE as there was in KDE3.

I seem to have the gtk-qt-engine package installed...

    Any idea's?

I'm just assuming the gtk-qt-engine package is KDE 3 specific, and is ineffective in KDE 4. It'll very likely be ported to KDE 4 some time soon.

      I found a simple workaround>

Just copy the "env" directory located in .kde (configuration directory for kde3) into .kde4 (configuration directory for kde4)

      cp -rf ~/.kde/env ~/.kde4/env

This will give the apps the look and feel of kde3 applications, which is better than nothing

cjt-1974 - no change to report. Does not seem to make any difference.

integr8e - I recon you're right. I'll just have to wait till then.

The current gtk-qt-engine is specific to gtk2 and qt3. The author of the engine has been asked about it already. He doesn't make any promises but will try to make a qt4 version as soon as he can.
