KDE 4 icons missing

The icons on the K menu (or Kickoff) are missing.
I have this problem since KDE 4 RC2 and today I upgraded to KDE 4.0 and the problem still unsolved.
This issue It's not a big deal but is very annoying, and if someone could help me that would be great.

At least you had them to lose !
Mine never showed up from the start. But I suppose we should give
this release some time for the tech's to put out some 'tweaks and fixes'.

Here is a time consuming workaround to get the icons in the menu:

1. Go to the item in the menu that is missing the icon
2. Right click on the item and then add it to the desktop
3. Right click on the item on the desktop and click "Icon Settings"
4. Click on the empty icon box next to the item name, the select icon menu should show
5. Type the item's name in the search box
6. Select the icon that best fits the item
7. Click on the ok button, the system will update
8. Launch the program from the desktop
9. Close the program
10. Check the menu, the icon should be there now
11. If the item is saved as a favourite, the icon won't change. Remove the item from the favourites list then add it back.

or you could:

rm -r $HOME/.kde4

I solved this issue editing the icons with KDE Menu Editor (Alt+F2 and type "kmenuedit")
