Synaptic problem

There was an error commiting changes. Possibly there was a problem downloading some packages or the commit would break packages.

I've run sudo dpkg --configure -a several times with same results.

Any help would be appreciated.

Follow up the command with:

sudo apt-get autoclean
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install
