    programs started through keyboard shortcut keys often start at screen 1

    Strange but true.

    I have 2 x screens, screen 0 is my normal monitor and screen 1 my tv. Nividia 7600 GT has tv out and I use their driver. All is fine, but...

    I like to use the keyboard to start stuff, so I have defined shortcut keys with the Win key for most.

    But they often start on the tv, which is screen 1, so then I have to turn on the tv and kill the program on that screen, then start it up NOT using the keyboard, then it wil start up on the monitor allright.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    I'm not sure how this works with two screens, but you could try:

    Right click an application border > Advanced > Special Application Settings > Geometry tab -> Enable: Position and Remember.

    Also: K > System Settings > Window Behavior ...

          How about, if you define that program starts with:
          Code:
          DISPLAY=":0.0" programname

          => Using multiple screens
          With the way I have the X configuration set above, you are given two separate "screens". These "screens" are what the extra ".0" in your DISPLAY variable are for. To make an application run on a different screen than it would normally start on, run it as

          DISPLAY=":0.1" programname

          where the 1 refers to the screen number that you want it to appear on.
