Rar not working

Hi
I have the rar and unrar packages installed
i can decompress rar files.. but i cannot compress files to rar..
i dont get that cascaded menu
what do i do?

The program is documented fully in Rar.Txt which you find in /usr/doc/rar. Options described there are same for rar and unrar.

Have you tried simply, man rar in a console?

i get the man page for the rar package
but.. when i right click i dont get the compress as rar menu
how do i get it there?
i am new to linux .. i dont know much about it

Are you using Konqueror ?
Konqueror needs:
Ark (as frontend)
rar (as backend)
maybe konq-plugins, plugins for Konqueror, the KDE file/web/doc browser


or are you using Dolphin ?

had to put it in ..../d3lphin/servicemenus didnt work under .../dolphin/..
