    Opening attachments with Thunderbird

    Hi!

When i try to open attachments, it sometimes recognizes the filetype and opens it with the right application (kpdf/soffice/gwenview/...), but sometimes not, even if the attachment is from the same mail and source. I have to manually choose /usr/bin/*. That's a little bit annoying.

Does anybody know the reason and/or a solution?

    Greetings,
    Wudu

As I wrote, all sort of files. .pdf, .jpg, .doc,... Sometimes it recognizes which application to use, sometimes not.

You could try simple thing first:
Edit-Settings-Addons (5th icon) and you can select all the programs with whom TB will open files.
I personally choose program kpdf for PDF documents etc..
