Need ENG-CHI, CHI-ENG Dictionary under kubuntu 7.10
Re: Need ENG-CHI, CHI-ENG Dictionary under kubuntu 7.10
Are you saying you want the desktop environment in Chinese, or something to translate English to Chinese and vice versa. For the latter, I believe the only way to get a remotely decent translation is for it to be done by a qualified human. Computer translation between European and Asian languages is notoriously awful (ie 'Engrish').
I am running Ubuntu 8.10 (yes Gnome) with upgrades applied daily about 0900 UK time. Hardware is Dell Precision 420, 2x 800 MHz PIII, 512 MB RDRAM, nVidia GeForce 6800 128 MB AGP graphics, 18GB SCSI and 500GB IDE HDDs, DVD burner, Hauppage TV card.

No dude, all i need is a piece of software, which is commonly know as electronic dictionary or something, to translate random words form English to Chinese and vice versa. Need it for my studies...
thx for the reply though.

If you just need to translate single words, you should be readily able to find dictionaries online. Or in dead tree form, but I presume you want to be able to copy&paste the Chinese characters.
