Can't install W32 codecs

    Can't install W32 codecs

    Decided I wanted to get the W32 codecs. Went to Meidbuntu, downloaded, but when I tried to install, I get dependecies errors. Output below

    install automatix your find all the 32 codecs, and video drivers.

      I have used Automatix before and had too many problems, but I got them now using synaptic with the medibuntu sources

          dude, brian3 is right. try installing it with automatix and it would be a breeze. I know that everyone have mix feelings, but it will work great. I know I did and I have not have any problems. I installed my codecs when I was using feisty, I upgraded to gutsy and did not have any problems.

              Automatix is bad. Evil. Horrible.
              Several people here can attest to the things it's done to their system... I believe one person had to do a complete reinstall, once.
              Avoid it like the plague.

                If you are running *ubuntu, Automatix will mess up your system - eventually. Search the Forum.
