My 2 bits of annoyance

Namely # 1. Launch feedback, no way to disable that bouncing icon tried everything, kcontrol has no control of it although it shown disabled, this happened since Feisty, and I install Gusty from beta. #2 Boot can't get pass Windows manager the 4th icon, I must ctrl-alt-BS to logon again everytime, this happened after couple weeks of use and I keep updating everyday.

Set this to No Busy Cursor
Set Startup indication timeout: to 0 seconds

Can you at least reduce the time it stays bouncing? I set mine to 5 seconds, and that works.

It should work. I imagine the fact that it doesn't might be in some way related to your windows manager problems during startup.

What I set has no effect to the bouncing, and I use passive cursor only but it still bounce.

So what would be the problem in the WM ?? I know there is something wrong but how come it happened, a new install will fix but the problem appear again after some use.
