    Source Code

Guys, I do have a question. I now this is suppose to be open source software, but after I installed the application, if I want to go make any changes into the application or source code, where in my system is it?

    Re: Source Code

Depends. If you got it from the repos, you can probably get the source (assuming you have source repos enabled) with "apt-get source package", which will deposit the source, patches, signature, and original source in the current directory. (Patches will automatically be applied.) I suggest creating a new directory to work in before getting a package's source, just to make it easier.

If it didn't come from the repos, you'll need to get the source from wherever you got the software (assuming they provide it).
