laptop speakers problem

i recently bought the acer aspire 7520 laptop and after i installed Kubuntu is realised that i don't have any sound! i opened KMix but the sound wasn't muted! i also checked the drivers and it has recognised it as nvidia onboard sound system...

can i do anything to fix it??
