On my desktop when Compiz is active, I can Maximize and Minimize windows from the task bar by clicking the minimized/maximized application. On my laptop I can only Maximize. Any clues as to why? Looked though my config of Compiz om both machines, and they are identical. At least it appears that way to me.

Re: Another Compiz question
Not the Context menu, just clicking on it while it sits in the Task Menu. The desktop that I'm on now I can click the FireFox entry and it will Minimize. Click it again and it will Maximize. Both machines are running the same Decorator, Emerald.

Re: Another Compiz question
Upon clicking a maximized window's entry in the panel, it doesn't minimize? Hmm...
Try right-clicking the panel > Configure panel > Taskbar. Here, under actions, left-click is set to "Show Task List", but it performs the usual behavior...For external use only.

Re: Another Compiz question
Yep. That's what it is checked as. What's odd, the machine that does this works the way it should when kwin is active. Switch to compiz it does not. The machine I'm comparing it to works under kwin and compiz. The difference? Shouldn't be due to this, but the one this doesn't work for is a laptop, the one that does work is desktop. The laptop is an Intel 945 GMA with 128MB shared Memory. The Desktop is an nVidia GeForce FX 5200 with 128MB onboard memeory. Both very capable of handling compiz with no problems (can't complain yet anyway ). Mystery to me. It's nothing critical or major to me personally, other than I'd just would like to know why.
